The challenge this month will be a little different from the past challenges of just exercising! Since it is the month of February and love is in the air and it’s national dental month for dogs we are challenging you for some other self-care habits besides exercise because it’s just as important for your mental health!
Here are the 7 categories:
- Exercise
- Clean your dog’s Teeth and hopefully yours, or floss if you don’t do that regularly :p
- Brush your dog’s hair, give them a bath, schedule a grooming appt, etc or maybe you’ll try a different hairstyle!
- Massage – spend 5-10 minutes with your dog rubbing them down, also a great chance to look for lumps or bumps, in their ears, etc. or Book yourself an appt.
- Share your favorite picture/memory of your dog
- Favorite inspirational quote, picture or song
- Show someone you care, with a visit, call, note, taking your dog to the pet store, etc.
You have to have 7 post total with each of the above category to be eligible for prizes!
Bonus entry if you clean your dog’s teeth each of the 7 days along with the other categories!
Challenge Runs from February 7th -14th 2020. We understand it will be hard to take a picture while you’re cleaning your dog’s teeth, etc. so we are going to use the honesty policy and you can take a picture after, but please tell us what you did for the day with each post!
For this challenge it will only be available on Facebook and we ask that you post within the event please. If you don’t know how please send us a message and we will help you! Additional explanations of each category below. Scroll Down to see available prizes!

Exercising releases endorphins, which is a chemical in your body that triggers “happy” feelings. So try to spend at least 30 mintues of doing some type of activity that gets you and your dog moving!
Walking your dog is a great example!
Clean your Dog’s teeth for National Pet Dental Month! These are my favorite dental products. I don’t personally like using a toothbrush on my dog’s teeth, I feel like it’s messy and too many items. I use the wipes, then follow up with the breath spray! I try to clean my dog’s teeth daily, but only end up doing it a few times a week.
Make sure you’re using only dog friendly products made for dogs! If your dog isn’t use to getting it’s teeth brushed it takes time and patience to build up trust. Also if you smell anything funky or your dog doesn’t want you anywhere near their mouth it maybe because they have an infection and you should make an appt with your vet as they may need professional cleaning.
Depending on your dog’s type of hair they will either shed or mat, so you need to find a brush to suit their needs!
Also maybe try stlying your hair different for fun! It will be good for your hair and might make you feel fancy!
Massage – spend 5-10 minutes with your dog rubbing them down, also a great chance to look for lumps or bumps, in their ears, etc. or better yet book yourself an appt!
Share your favorite picture/memory of your dog. Was it when you went hiking, vacation, at home, share your story if you’d like, plus seeing cute picutes of dogs cheers up everyone’s day!
Favorite inspirational quote, picture or song. There’s so many out there, it may be hard to choose just one! Share it with us becuase someone else may relate and need it or maybe you’ll find something you like!
Show someone you care, with a visit, call, note, taking your dog to the pet store, etc.
Life goes by quickly and sometimes we don’t make time for our loved ones, so today call your parents, grandparents, significant other, etc and/or take your dog to their favorite pet store to tell them how much you love them!
Complete all 7 days and be eligible to win these prizes!
